Another big year in sport has come to an end. It’s time for the Podcast Christmas Party. Which means too much beer, not enough finger food and telling the boss where to go.

We catch up on the NFL and look ahead to the last two weeks of the regular season. There’s some interesting jostling going on for the last few playoff spots. The Rams are in, but faltering. While the Titans and Colts are in good form, but both can’t make it.

Australia bounced back from the Adelaide loss to level the test series with India 1-1. The pitch at the new Perth Stadium was excellent offering something for everyone. Virat Kohli showed his class with a very good century. But it was the Aussie bowlers who won the game. The BBL has kicked off. And we look ahead to Boxing Day in Melbourne.

Erik is on the phone to discuss the Wests Tigers salary cap, Justin Pascoe and Robbie Farah situation. And then talk a little baseball.

And from 2:05:00 we wrap up the 2018 year in sport and make a few bold predictions.

Big Zacko and The Producer Episode 5. With Pies down at Flemington checking out the form, The Producer and Big Zacko decide to give Swainy more rein than he’s used to. And the big man doesn’t disappoint swaying away from Rugby into uncharted territory.

The boys then break down all the action from the NFL. The Producer’s Rams keep winning. Big Zacko’s Titans had the bye and Pies’ Giants had another underwhelming loss.

Winx, the mighty mare won an unprecedented 4th straight WS Cox Plate. Big Zacko breaks down all the action from Mooney Valley.

Then we’re joined by Pies via satellite from an undisclosed location. Review the Cricket Australia review. As well as catching up with Brighton and how they’re doing in the English Premier League.

Episode 167 -To The Victors Go The Spoils

GF Day 2018

Another footy season done and dusted. Two of the more memorable Grand Finals played out over the weekend.

West Coast outwitted Collingwood but it took all 4 quarters. An absolute belter of an AFL Grand Final. The Eagles finally winning 11.13.79 – 11.8.74.

In the NRL Grand Final the Sydney Roosters apparently played with 12 men but still completely outplayed the Melbourne Storm. It was a huge performance from the Roosters, eventually winning the game 21-6.

In the NFL Big Zacko outlasted the rest of us on a public holiday Monday taking in all 3 games on FTA TV. The Rams are better than Big Zacko thought. The Patriots still have a lot of questions to be answered after their beat down of Miami. The Steelers may be finished. And the Giants are a loss away from tanking for a decent O-Line.

We’re joined by a very special guest. All the way from the USA it’s Zach Bahner of Auctionable Offense Podcast to talk all things NFL. Zach lives and breathes NFL and it’s great to have him on to preview the NFL season.

Our old mate Swainy is back and it’s hard times for the Wallabies. Another crushing defeat at the hands of the All Blacks. Can we see a silver lining to this cloud?

Colbee opens the show previewing the last Masters of Rugby League module at Minchinbury this weekend. Should be a cracking afternoon down at Federation Forest with the first game of the Indigenous Masters team.

NRL, AFL and Soccer are on at the back end of this episode and by then we’d had a few beers. The Producer has another rant of sorts and Pies unleashes on Dragons fans.

Episode 160 – The Run To The Finals

After putting the finishing touches on a very exciting project (stay tuned for more info) we thought it’d be a very short one. But there’s just so much going on in the world of NRL and AFL.

We don’t have any answers to the mess that is the Panthers saga. And we have even less of a clue why the Dragons have fallen off a cliff. One thing we do know. The race for the wooden spoon has never been hotter!

In the AFL there’s a log jam at the bottom end of the top 8. Teams that aren’t the Tigers, Eagles or Giants can’t string even a few wins together. It’s shaping up as one of the better races to the finals.
